The members of Café Writers have been meeting twice a month since 2002 to read and share their work. Throughout the group’s many incarnations, members have published articles in the local paper while others have placed poems in literary journals across the U.S. and have published poetry chapbooks. Many have participated in local poetry readings, “open mic” programs, and fund raisers like the Nevada County Library anthology titled Open to All. Past members have self-published and have had independent publishers take on their novels.
